Your Questions, Answered
-
Yes — and we’d love to have you. We welcome patients of all ages, from young kids to grandparents. Whether you’re due for a routine cleaning or you’ve been putting off the dentist for years (no judgment), we’ll meet you where you are and build a plan that works for you.
-
Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications you’re currently taking. If you have recent dental X-rays from a previous provider, we’d love to have those too — just let us know and we can help coordinate the transfer. You’ll also complete a brief health history form when you arrive, or we can send it to you digitally ahead of time.
-
Every new patient needs to arrive 30 minutes before their first appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork . We do our best to run on time and respect your schedule, and we ask for the same in return.
Insurance + Fees
-
At Driftwood Dentistry, our top priority is providing you with exceptional care and flexible financing options. While we’re not in network with dental insurance plans, we’re happy to submit claims on your behalf so you can take full advantage of your out-of-network benefits. We will also provide you with an itemized superbill after each visit to make the reimbursement process simple.

The Driftwood Membership Plan
Our in-house membership plans are designed for patients without dental insurance, or anyone who wants a simpler, more transparent way to manage their dental care. We offer two plans — based on patient needs. Both include your essential preventive care and a discount on all additional treatment, making it comparable to traditional insurance plans. No deductibles, no waiting periods, no claim denials.
-
We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, and checks. We also work with third-party financing options such as Care-Credit and Cherry, which allows you to spread treatment costs over time. Ask our front desk team about available financing plans — we want to make sure cost never stands between you and the care you need.
-
Always. We believe in complete transparency when it comes to fees. Before any treatment beyond your routine visit, we’ll walk you through exactly what’s recommended, what it costs, and what your options are. You will never be surprised by a bill at Driftwood.
Comfort + Dental Anxiety
-
Yes — and you’re in good company. Dental anxiety is one of the most common things we hear from new patients, and it’s something we take seriously. We’ll always take time to explain what we’re doing before we do it, check in with you throughout your appointment, and go at a pace that feels manageable. If you’d like additional support, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral conscious sedation (Halcion) to help you feel calm and comfortable from start to finish.
-
We offer two levels of sedation. Nitrous oxide is a mild inhaled gas that takes the edge off anxiety — you stay fully awake and aware, it wears off within minutes, and you can drive yourself home afterward. For patients who need more support, we offer oral conscious sedation with Halcion, a prescription medication taken before your appointment that produces a deeper state of relaxation. You’ll remain conscious and able to respond, but most patients remember very little of the appointment. You will need a driver if you choose this option.
-
We do everything we can to make sure it doesn’t. We take our time with anesthetic and won’t start any procedure until you’re fully numb. During treatment you may feel pressure or vibration, but not pain. If at any point something is uncomfortable, raise your hand and we’ll stop immediately. Your comfort is our priority — not the clock.
-
Every patient that comes through our doors is offered the Driftwood Comfort Menu which includes
Weighted Blanket
Noise Cancelling Headphones
Neck Pillow
Personalized Streaming Service or Music
Lip Balm
Sunglasses/Eye Mask
Stress Ball
Bottled Water

Treatments + Services
-
For most patients, every six months is the standard recommendation. Six-month intervals allow us to remove tartar buildup before it causes damage and catch small problems while they’re still small. Some patients with a history of gum disease, high cavity risk, or other factors may benefit from more frequent visits. We’ll let you know what’s right for you based on what we see.
-
X-rays are an essential diagnostic tool — they let us see decay between teeth, bone levels, and issues developing below the gumline that simply aren’t visible to the naked eye. Modern dental X-rays use extremely low levels of radiation, far less than what you’re exposed to on a cross- country flight. We follow current guidelines on X-ray frequency and only take them when clinically necessary.
-
We do. Dentists have some of the most advanced training in facial anatomy of any healthcare provider, which makes us uniquely qualified to administer Botox safely and precisely. We offer it both therapeutically — for jaw pain, teeth grinding, and headaches caused by overactive jaw muscles — and cosmetically, for fine lines around the mouth and face. It’s a natural extension of what we already do.
